From the unique works of wildlife sculptor, Roger Martin to the picturesque portraits by Roger Thomas, and the realist watercolors of Ron Taylor, Stanly County is proud of its talented artists. From rural landscapes, historic images and coastal scenes to bronze sculptures and life size renditions of mountain bears, the creations are unique to each artist. Many galleries require appointments, so be sure to call ahead.
The Stanly Arts Guild
The Stanly Arts Guild is an organization of visual artists in Stanly County with the mission of promoting local artist, sponsoring educational opportunities for potential artists and to nurture beginning artists with developing skills in how to promote, display, and market their work.

The Stanly County Chorale
The Stanly County Chorale is the oldest civic chorale society that has been providing performances for the public since 1968. The Chorale is directed by Steve Harrill, Assistant Professor of Music at Pfeiffer University, and accompanied by Stan Scheer, Vice President Emeritus of organ builder Casavant Frères and former chair of the Pfeiffer Fine Arts Department.

The Uwharrie Players
The Uwharrie Players, Inc. has been the community theater organization of Stanly County for over thirty years. The Players were formed in the spring of 1975 as an outgrowth of the Stanly County Arts Council. Thirty-four charter members set out to establish a vehicle that would provide local citizens an opportunity to perform on stage and that would expose Stanly County to quality theatrical entertainment.

The Stanly County Concerts Association
The Stanly County Concert Association was formed in 1947 and has been providing residents and visitors with wonderful performances ever since! In 2001 the organization joined the North Carolina Presenters Consortium, a non-profit group dedicated to bringing the highest quality professional artists to the state. With over 100 presenting organizations and 120 associate members made up of artists, agents and performing companies, SCCA has been able to bring the best artists to our community. SCCA also strives to provide educational outreach in the performing arts to school, church and private music groups.

Three Rivers Quilt Guild
The TRQG is a local group that provides quilts for organizations in need. They also host a quilt show in the spring each year.
